In the spring of  2007, after one phone call, my agent sent me to another continent to work as the only entertainer on board a cruise ship, recommending me to bring some favourite music on board for a period not shorter than six months. It was the phone call that started the idea. This was the impulse  that forced me to start to think in another way. I started to travel around the globe. I visited 4 continents - around 52 countries a year, playing the piano on ships using my laptop as a music reader.

The premise

Based on four years of my own experience I have found sober fact, that most laptops and tablets are suitable to be used as the ultimate music reader and a practically infinite music library.

Features

Turning pages is done with the aid of a foot pedal unit  which consists of two pedals – the right pedal turns the score ahead, the left turns it in the opposite direction. The pedal is operated by the performer. It took me literally two sessions to learn how to synchronize my left foot with my playing. It requires two basic and simple movements of the pedal so that the foot manages the left/right step and is mastered within a short time. The vertical image shows how easy it is to turn a common laptop into a music reader. To adapt your laptop for use as a simple and effective music reader, you'll need to have then these two things:

Benefits

A digital version of  your paper sheet music. No  longer necessity to flip pages by hand.  Chance to carry  around your entire library  with you wherever you go. Sharper and clearer vision of the score. even in the gloom or dark.
